He assisted with the British contribution to the 1987 exhibition of Stradivari instruments in Cremona to commemorate the great violin maker's 250th anniversary; and in 2005 he helped the Royal Academy of Music to purchase the "Viotti ex-Bruce" Stradivarius.
His composition Nagasaki won the Bourges Electronic Music Competition, and Marrying Music won the and Viotti-Valsesia International Music Competition award.
She also won major prizes in other piano competitions, like the Casagrande, Viotti, Iturbi, Callas.

Böhm studied in Budapest, with his father, and with Pierre Rode (probably when he was in Russia), so he is the link between the French school (an evolution of the Italian school through Viotti) and the Hungarian one.
Besides, he won the first prize in several international piano competitions: Città di Treviso, La Spezia, RAI, and received awards in other prizes: Moncalieri (European Prize for Chamber Music), Busoni, Pretoria and Viotti.
In the meantime Dorner won the 1949 Concours de Geneve and the 1952 Vercelli's Viotti competition.
She received numerous international awards for piano and composition, and placed in competitions in Barcelona, Viotti, and Lutèce.
