Alexandru "Alecu" Şerbănescu (17 May 1912 in Coloneşti, Olt County – 18 August 1944 in Ruşavăţ, Buzău County) was a leading Romanian fighter pilot and flying ace in World War II.
Born in the village of Vipereşti in Buzău County, a part of the historical region of Muntenia, Ştefan Bârsănescu was a member of the Romanian Academy and the author of over thirty scholarly volumes and more than five hundred articles and essays.
