A PostAuto bus service links Ausserberg station, Trogdorf village, Baltschieder and Visp.
The proposed merger of the municipalities of Eggerberg, Ausserberg, Bürchen, Baltschieder, Visp and Visperterminen was rejected by the residents.
It is located on the right side of the Rhone valley at the entrance to the Bietsch valley and west of Visp.
