According to a Foreign Ministry statement, he was alone, and had been caught in a sudden snowstorm while skiing on mount Vitosha near Sofia.
He has led and it is named and scenic road in the foothills of Vitosha mountain - from Boyana, through Bistrica, Pancharevo and Kokalyane, locality of Prosechenik, to the mouth of the estuary river Vedena in Iskar - Yassenov King Road whereby "Urvich" establishes a permanent connection with Vitosha fortresses" of Bistrica and Battil - Boyana.
Aleko is the name of a peak of Rila Mountain and a site on Vitosha Mountain, named after Aleko Konstantinov (1863–97), a prominent writer and proponent of wilderness exploration.
The river flows from the lower northern part of Torfeno Branishte Nature Reserve on Vitosha Mountain, and passes by Kominite area; at the northern foothills of Vitosha the river crosses the village of Dragalevtsi (now part of Sofia, from which the river takes its name), then join few other minor rivers to form Slatinska River, and flow into Perlovska River which in turn flows into Iskar River in the northeastern outskirst of Sofia.
The stone river is ‘descending’ from elevation 1900 m above sea level at the foothills of Golyam Rezen Peak to 1550 m off the track between Bistritsa village and Aleko site (1810 m), the most popular tourist centre on Vitosha Mountain accessible also from Sofia by gondola lift.
From 1986–88, with the club now renamed Vitosha, he helped to another championship, as well as leading the goal charts in both seasons, scoring 64 goals combined – 36 in just 30 matches in the first year, although the championship was eventually lost to PFC CSKA Sofia, by three points.
