Industrigruppen JAS (IG JAS) was a Swedish industrial consortium founded in 1980 by SAAB-Scania, Volvo Flygmotor, LM Ericsson, SRA Communications and Förenade Fabriksverken (FFV) for the development, construction and manufacturing of the new Swedish combat aircraft JAS 39 Gripen on behalf of the Swedish Airforce.
Rolls-Royce has seven risk and revenue sharing partners on the Trent 900: Industria de Turbo Propulsores (low pressure turbine), Hamilton Sundstrand (electronic engine controls), Avio S.p.A. (gearbox module), Marubeni Corporation (engine components), Volvo Aero (intermediate compressor case), Goodrich Corporation (fan casings and sensors) and Honeywell (pneumatic systems).
It also has a number of industrial facilities, headed by GKN Aerospace (previously known as Volvo Aero) and its contractual suppliers.
Since its foundation, 12 AFRA members have achieved AFRA accreditation: Aircraft End-of-Life Solutions (AELS), Air Salvage International, Bonus Tech, Europe Aviation, Evergreen Trade, Orange Aero, P3 Aviation, Southern California Aviation and Volvo Aero Services.
Unlike other forge shops, Carlton makes high quality forgings for major customers such as General Electric, United Technologies (Pratt & Whitney), Honeywell International, Rolls-Royce, Volvo Aero, MTU, Mitsubishi, Samsung, and other smaller companies.
