On March 14, 2008 along with other television stations in Virginia, WAHU-LD2 aired the Virginia High School League championships basketball tournament for the first time.

Before that, he worked at several different stations in Charlottesville including WADA-LP, as an on-air personality at WQMZ-FM and as morning show co-host and news director at WVAO-FM.
