Until January 16, 2012, KCAU was the only station owned by Citadel Communications to carry AccuWeather programming on a digital subchannel; sister stations KLKN, WOI-DT, and WHBF-TV instead carried RTV on their DT2 subchannels, while WLNE-TV did not offer a DT2 subchannel.
On January 16, 2012, KLKN, along with all Citadel stations (including WLNE-TV in Providence and KCAU-TV in Sioux City), began carrying Disney/ABC's Live Well Network, replacing the Retro Television Network on its subchannel and cable channels.
In early 2009, WLNE-TV (channel 6) permanently moved to UHF channel 49 for digital broadcasts.
