Before it was officially confirmed it would be a secondary CW affiliate, there was a possibility new television station WCWF (now WNMN) in Saranac Lake, New York would become affiliated with the network.
Locally owned by CEC Media Group, it is a full-time satellite of Retro TV affiliate WNMN in Saranac Lake, New York.
While it searched for its own affiliation, WCWF finally began broadcasting September 11, 2007 as a repeater of Ion Television affiliate WWBI-LP, the owners of which held a stake in the station.
