On September 10 of that year, WMCN announced that it would produce three new original weekly series: A New View, an issues-oriented show hosted by former WTXF-TV (channel 29) personality Dawn Strensland, Tolly's Awesome Friends, a series centered on noteworthy locals hosted by ex-WTXF sports director Don Tollefson, and Philly Sports Spotlight, a locally-focused series hosted by former WPVI-TV (channel 6) sports anchor Phil Andrews.
A study conducted by ABC News affiliate WPVI found no improvement at lower speeds and only a 4% improvement at highway speeds.
According to a WPVI special report from November, 2005, Lisa finally ended up at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, where she got the right diagnosis: she was suffering from a syndrome called POEMS Syndrome, which can cause nerve damage, organ enlargement, hormonal imbalances, and skin changes.
Wynnefield Heights is the home of the Presidential City Apartments, WPVI-TV Channel 6, the City Line shopping center, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Hilton Hotel, TGI Friday's, Target (opened on July 29, 2007 on the former Adam's Mark Hotel site), the Belmont Water Treatment Plant and Reservoir, and the Pennsylvania State Police Barracks (Troop K).
