Atlanta Beat (WUSA) (2001–2003), the original team that played in the Women's United Soccer Association.
Beginning in 2003 the team moved their games to Lakota West High School's soccer stadium as well as moving into the newly formed W-league (basically the W2 league with a few differences) which replaced WUSA (who suspended operations that year) as the top level of women's soccer in the US.
In 2001, Mitts was voted as the sexiest player in the WUSA on Playboy Online.
Host Jack Diamond has also worked in TV, both part and full-time, including co-hosting "Broadcast House Live" in D.C. on WUSA and is currently on "Idol Chatter" as part of the American Idol phenomenon on WTTG.
In 2005, Roberts joined the Washington Freedom Reserves, an exhibition team put together by the Washington Freedom ownership, joining former WUSA players like Kylie Bivens and Emily Janss, as well as U-21 National Team players, Ali Krieger and Joanna Lohman.
WUSA became the first American women's pro soccer league in 2001.
