Plans were made to install the transmitter on the grounds of the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, but the Marshall Space Flight Center objected to having such a high power transmitter so near to their operations.

Multi-band 5 (USA) or Multi-band 6 (Japan) – perhaps the most significant aspect of the Oceanus line is the ability of all watches to automatically synchronize with the Japanese time signal (JJY), the American time signal (WWVB) from Colorado, and the European time signals from both England (Time from NPL) and Germany (DCF77).
Joining the pool requires at least a broadband connection to the Internet, a static IP address, and accurate time from another source (for example from another NTP server, from a DCF77 receiver, WWVB receiver or a GPS receiver).
