Ian Bliss is an Australian actor, best known for his role as Bane in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, for which he was chosen by the Wachowski Brothers because of his accurate impersonation of Hugo Weaving (Agent Smith), and also his partial resemblance to Weaving.
After co-supervising development for 3-D paint effect stylizations and LIDAR laser scanning for What Dreams May Come (1998 Visual Effects Oscar winner), Gaeta began his first solo effects supervision project for Larry and Andy Wachowski's film, The Matrix.
In 2004, he co-created (along with comic book artist Geof Darrow) and draws Doc Frankenstein for Burlyman Entertainment, which is written by the Wachowskis.
Burlyman Entertainment also published some new, non-Matrix related comics: Shaolin Cowboy, written and drawn by comic book artist Geoff Darrow, who also served as the conceptual designer for the Matrix Trilogy, and Doc Frankenstein, written by the Wachowski Brothers and drawn by Steve Skroce, the storyboard artist for the Matrix Trilogy, and previously worked with the brothers on the comic book series, Ectokid.
