Hermann Friedrich Wilhelm Hinrichs (22 April 1794, Karlseck, Hohenkirchen, now Wangerland, Friesland – 17 September 1861, Friedrichroda) was a German philosopher.
The Jeverland was formed in the 15th century from the Barony of Jever, which itself descended from the Banter Viertel, part of Östringen and the Wangerland.

Although this tradition is historically extremely doubtful, there is in Minsen a bronze sculpture of the Minsen Seewiefken, which is also the emblem on the coat of arms for the parish of Wangerland.
