The Nintendo Game Boy Advance game WarioWare: Twisted! uses a piezoelectric gyroscope to detect rotational movement.

In the January 2008 issue of the Official Nintendo Magazines "Ask Nintendo" section a Nintendo-Europe representative shed some light on the situation and claimed the WarioWare: Twisted! delay was because Twisted! was still undergoing the compulsory LGA testing and approval for Europe.


Nintendo DS launch

Prior to this, a small supply of DS units were available in a package with a promotional "VIP" T-shirt, Metroid Prime Hunters - First Hunt, a WarioWare: Touched! demo, and a pre-release version of Super Mario 64 DS, through the Nintendo Stars Catalogue; the bundle was priced at £129.99 for the UK and €189.99 for the rest of Europe, plus 1,000 of Nintendo's "star" loyalty points (to cover postage).

R.O.B. has appeared as a cameo character in various video games, such as StarTropics, Kirby's Dream Land 3, the Star Fox series, the WarioWare series, the F-Zero series, Viewtiful Joe, and his head appears in Pikmin 2, called the 'Remembered Old Buddy'.

Ultra Machine

The Ultra Machine appears in both WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$ for the Game Boy Advance and WarioWare: Smooth Moves for the Wii, as a boss fight in the former and a regular microgame in the latter.

WarioWare: Smooth Moves received a ToyAward in the Trend and Lifestyle category from the 2007 Nuremberg International Toy Fair.
