Edmond Warre (1837–1920), English rower and head master of Eton College
Casamajor helped the club eight win the Grand Challenge Cup and partnered Paine in the Silver Goblets in 1859 when they were runners-up to Warre and John Arkell.
In 1562, John Shute translated the works of Cambini and Paolo Giovio into English and composed a tract on them (Two very notable commentaries: The one of the original of the Turcks and the empire of the house of Ottomanno, and the other of the warre of the Turcke against George Scanderbeg).
The theory particularly builds on the English seventeenth century political philosopher Thomas Hobbes' depiction of traditional indigenous societies existing in a state of 'Warre', envy, and conflict.
