He later recorded it in Irish as "Bruach Loch Pontchartrain" for the 2002 compilation album Eist Vol.2: Éist Arís, Songs In Their Native Language.

In 2000 he re-discovered these tapes in his attic, and failing to drum up interest on the part of a major label, he took on the task of putting them out himself.

It contains new recordings of two songs that appeared on earlier albums: "The Lakes of Pontchartrain", from Brady's 1978 record Welcome Here Kind Stranger, and "Arthur McBride", which Andy Irvine and Paul Brady included on their eponymous recording from 1976.
