The film was shot and edited over a three year period, with many of the posters and photos resulting from a Facebook campaign to gather archival imagery coupled with scanning parties at the West End Museum.

Arthur rescued 706 people on his ship RMS Carpathia and was awarded many honours, including being created a Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire (KBE), as well as being awarded a Congressional Gold Medal There are plaques in West End Museum for Rostron and RMS Titanic crew member (from West End) James Jukes.
