Most of the album was recorded September 27, 1990 at Wetlands, New York City; parts of that performance were released on Up for Grabs...Live, including tracks 2, 4, 9, and 10 of this release.
It was recorded in 2001 at the Aladdin Theater in Portland, Maine and The Wetlands in New York City, and was released in 2002 on the band's own KA record label.
In the autumn of 1997, after a show at New York's much missed Wetlands which included a collaboration with bass virtuoso Victor Wooten, frontman Powley left and the group continued through the end of the year as a quintet.
