In 1974 the boat was taken over by the municipality of Wijk bij Duurstede.
Dirk Fock (born 19 June 1858 in Wijk bij Duurstede – died 17 October 1941 in The Hague) was a Dutch politician, Governor of Suriname (1908–1911), President of the House of Representatives of the Netherlands (1917–1921) and Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies (1921–1926).
He had also had a dam laid down at Wijk bij Duurstede to stabilize the water level of the Kromme Rijn, and he had the Vaartse Rijn, a short canal, dug to improve the ship transportation.
At Philip's death, in 1524, Mabuse designed and erected his tomb in the church of Wijk bij Duurstede.
