unusual facts about Wildhearts

Bernie Tormé

In 2007, Tormé contributed lead guitar and sitar parts to "Smile In Denial", track #4 of Yoni, a solo album from Wildhearts frontman Ginger.

Gods of Blitz

With production from Torsten Otto and Gordon Raphael (The Strokes, Wildhearts) and mixing by Michael Ilbert (The Hives, The Cardigans, Hellacopters), the band delivers a sound familiar to the American and British indie scene currently dominating radio and music television.

Honeycrack

With Dowling opting to front the band on lead vocals and guitar (and CJ playing a similar role to the one he'd performed with the Wildhearts), the Honeycrack lineup was completed by the addition of third guitarist Mark McCrae (previously with hotly tipped London rock band Rub Ultra), session drummer Hugo Degenhardt and bass player Pete Clarke.

Multi-instrumentalist Willie Dowling had previously been part of The Grip, and later joined The Wildhearts as keyboard player for tours and studio sessions (contributing to their debut album Earth Vs. The Wildhearts).

Life Just Is

In one scene, the character David performs "Geordie in Wonderland" by The Wildhearts, and two of the other songs he sings are originally by bands featuring ex-Wildhearts members: "Lemonade Girl" by The Jellys and "Moving Along" by Plan A.
