The game, published by WizKids, saw first release in May 2006 and was officially canceled in March 2007.
During his career in the adventure game industry, James has worked for Andon Unlimited; Wizards of the Coast; Chessex Distribution; West End Games; Kenzer & Company; ACD Distribution; Krause Publications, as an associate editor on Scrye magazine; WizKids; and, since 2004, F&W Publications, as an associate editor on Comics Buyer's Guide, news editor on Scrye, and managing editor on Comics & Games Retailer, where he remains today.
This was accomplished in the fall of 2003 when WizKids agreed to grant IMR an exclusive license for publishing new, canon BattleTech fiction online.
The studio has since released an online version of the WizKids Pirates Constructible Strategy Game.

Coleman announced on April 20, 2007 that InMediaRes was in negotiations to acquire the licenses for Classic BattleTech and Shadowrun from WizKids as Fantasy Productions' license was set to expire.
