Roy Wood's new band Wizzard, only formed a few weeks previously, also made their live debut at the show.
In Discworld II the player controls Rincewind the "wizzard" (voiced by Eric Idle, as in the previous game) who has been burdened with the task of coercing Death out of his impromptu retirement and back into his regular duties.
The band was only used to play live shows (playing mainly songs Wood composed for The Move) and Wizzard, plus some of his solo singles and Jeff Lynne's "10538 Overture".
It was revealed that Five, 911, Atomic Kitten, B*Witched, Honeyz and Liberty X would be covering Wizzard's "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday" to raise money for Age UK, Barnardo's, BeatBullying, the British Heart Foundation, CLIC Sargent and Help the Hospices.
