World Alliance of Reformed Churches

On 1 February 2006, Clifton Kirkpatrick, president of the WARC, and Douwe Visser, president of the Reformed Ecumenical Council (REC), said in a joint letter, "We rejoice in the work of the Holy Spirit which we believe has led us to recommend that the time has come to bring together the work of the World Alliance of Reformed Churches and the Reformed Ecumenical Council into one body that will strengthen the unity and witness of Reformed Christians."


C. S. Song

Song was principal of Tainan Theological College (1965-70) and, later, president of the World Alliance of Reformed Churches (1977-2004).

Park Seong-won

From 1986 to 1990, Park worked in the World Alliance of Reformed Churches as Assistant to General Secretary, with the responsibility of coordinating a theological study programme, “Called To Witness To the Gospel Today”.

From 1995 to 2004 Park was invited again to work for the World Alliance of Reformed Churches as Executive Secretary of the Department of Cooperation and Witness.
