Wyatt C. Hedrick designed the Welty's Tudor Revival style home, which is now known as the Eudora Welty House.
It was designed by Wyatt C. Hedrick & Co., and was completed in 1930—its name is a contraction of the original owners' names R.E. Sterling and Wyatt Hedrick.

Based on a psychiatric evaluation and the testimony of others, the court ruled that Archuleta's release posed a substantial risk of harm to others and ordered him committed to the United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield, Missouri.
