After graduating from XLRI in 1984, he joined the Indian operations of an industrial gas multinational - BOC Group.
Prof. Nambisan obtained his Ph.D. in Management from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University and his MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur, India.
As HRD started growing Larsen & Toubro instituted a HRD Chair Professorship at XLRI, Jamshedpur.
