His second cd "Nocturnal" spawned "Why", his first top ten hit(#2), and his most recent solo effort, simply titled "NINO", introduced him to the rest of the world via MTV and MYX, with his music videos for the singles "I Still Love You" and "Alaala", both directed by top photographer Xander Angeles.
Xander Angeles was born in Manila, Philippines and attended high school and college at the University of Santo Tomas.

Tungaw disbanded in 1998, when Ryan formed Lilian along with college friends from his Tanghalang Ateneo days, (which included Pupil's Yan Yuzon, Xander Angeles on guitar, Patrick Tuason on keyboards and Mimi Chu on vocals) in early 2000.
