Gaddesden Place

The building, which is listed as Grade II, was purchased in 1984 by Charles Moir, founder of Computer Concepts (later Xara from 1995), a software company, and has been the headquarters of Xara Group Ltd, latterly acquired by MAGIX, since that time.

Xara

Since 1984, the company has been headquartered in Gaddesden Place, Hemel Hempstead, an 18th-century Palladian style villa, designed by the celebrated architect James Wyatt, built in 1768 and reputed to be his first building in the UK.
