The station is located in Huangpu District, near the intersection of East Fuxing Road and South Xizang Road.
A major Chinese road runs from Kargilik (Yecheng) in the Tarim Basin, south through Shahidulla, and across the disputed Aksai Chin region now controlled by China, but still claimed by India, and into northeastern Tibet (now Xizang Province).
