Kęstutis Nakas is an American playwright, author, performer, director, and teacher whose work has been presented at the New York Shakespeare Festival, Yale Repertory Theatre, La Mama, Dixon Place, P.S. 122, St. Mark’s Church in the Bowery, 8 BC, The Kitchen, Highways, and numerous other national venues.
He has worked with the Mark Taper Forum, South Coast Repertory, Empty Space Theatre, Seattle Rep, Cornerstone Theatre Company, Pasadena Playhouse, Geffen Playhouse, Williamstown Theatre Festival, A Noise Within (where he received both Dramalogue and LADC awards), Interact Theatre Company, Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, Manhattan Theatre Club, Yale Repertory Theatre, and many others.
Ryan attended Carnegie Mellon University and has worked in such prestigious theaters as the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis and the Yale Repertory Theatre in New Haven.
At Yale Repertory Theatre she was in Durang-Innaurato's The Idiots Karamazov, and played Hermia (opposite Meryl Streep's Helena) in Alvin Epstein's acclaimed production of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
