He is the father of 2013 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Champion Yana Kudryavtseva.
Yana's father, Aleksey Kudryavtsev was an elite swimmer and won an Olympic gold medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics in the 4×200 m freestyle.
