Ben Harper (originally in Yellowcard) joined Amber Pacific before the recording of their second studio album, Truth in Sincerity.
The game is also well known for helping to launch the career of pop punk band Yellowcard due to the in-game soundtrack consisting of the complete One for the Kids album on it.
Not only has it hosted basketball games for the women's and men's teams, it has also served as the venue for concerts by Switchfoot, Yellowcard, Ben Folds, Jay Sean, Death Cab for Cutie and comedians Bill Cosby and Jeff Foxworthy.
However, the Lobster Records group split up several months later when their lead guitarist/key songwriter Ryan Mendez joined Yellowcard.

After Yellowcard went on "indefinite hiatus", Josh Portman left his residence in Atlanta to finish his degree in business at Macon State College.
During the Yellowcard hiatus Parsons played drums for Adam Lambert from October 2009 through September 2010 before reunited with Yellowcard after ending their hiatus.

Parsons joined Yellowcard in 1997 along with Ben Dobson, Todd Clary, Warren Cooke, Ben Harper, and Sean Mackin after meeting at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts.

Yellowcard released their album Ocean Avenue on July 22, 2003 hitting at number 23 on U.S. Billboard 200, the album was a commercial success in the United States with the hit singles Way Away, Ocean Avenue, and Only One.
They went on to tour with such bands as Fight Paris, Drowningman, The Lawrence Arms, The Fall of Troy, Folly, The Draft, Rise Against, The Number 12 Looks Like You, Yellowcard, Heavy Heavy Low Low, Silverstein, Mae and more.
Ryan Key, who had previously been in a small project with Reeve Oliver vocalist/guitarist Sean O'Donnell (who was chosen as Pete Mosely's replacement after he declined to return) called "Big If", confirmed that some of Big If's songs were going to be reworked by Yellowcard and included on the new album.
