Egyptology and the Armenian Egyptology Centre (AEC) were both simultaneously created in Armenia on December 25, 2006 under the initiative of director, Dr. Christian Tutundjian de Vartavan, with the support of Prof. Aram Simonyan rector of the university, as well as many personalities of Armenian science and education.
Dr. Kogbetliantz was an Armenian/American mathematician and the first president of the Yerevan State University.
Krikorian studied two years at Yerevan State University in then-Soviet Armenia, after which he returned to the United States and obtained a Bachelors Degree from Georgetown University followed by a Masters Degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
In addition to his Party education, Nado also received a university education and graduated from the History department of the Yerevan State University.

Born in Stepanakert, in the Nagorno Karabakh Autonomous Republic of the Azerbaijan SSR on 22 June 1957, he graduated in 1979 from Yerevan State University with a degree in linguistics.
