Her performance pieces have toured the UK and been performed in London at The Young Vic and the Battersea Arts Center.
Other theatre credits include the title role in "Macbeth" at the Southwark Playhouse, Laertes in "Hamlet" at the Young Vic, Veit Kunz in "Franziska" at the Gate Theatre, Oberon in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" for the City of London Festival, Maecenas in "Antony and Cleopatra" at the Haymarket Theatre.
He has appeared on stage in theatres across the UK including the Young Vic, Live Theatre Newcastle, the Traverse Theatre, the Royal National Theatre, the Bush and the Royal Court Theatre.
In August 2007 he appeared in the stage version of Ma vie en rose, at the Young Vic.
In 2001, she founded a black-led arts festival called PUSH at the Young Vic.
His performances and videos have been presented in the UK and internationally in venues such as The ICA, London (1996), The Young Vic, London (2000), CCCB, Barcelona (2006), Tanzquartier Wein, Vienna (2007) and the Centre d'art Scenique Contemporain Lausanne, Switzerland (2009).
It is perhaps best known as being the location of the well-established Old Vic theatre at the western (Lambeth) end, as well as the more experimental Young Vic theatre halfway along on the other side.

In 2009, a theatrical adaptation of Kafka's story by Colin Teevan opened at the Young Vic in London.
Her work includes Nancy in Cameron Mackintosh's Production of Oliver!, Mary Magdalene in Gale Edwards Jesus Christ Superstar, the Young Vic’s sell-out production of Langston Hughes’ Simply Heavenly as Joyce, she starred as the Princess in Aladdin alongside Ian McKellen.
