Yuchang Highway is a section of Provincial Highway No. 30, started from Yuli, Hualien and ended in Changbin, Taitung.

The 885 series has also been used as the basis for six new 8-car trains for use on the route between Taipei and Hualien in Taiwan.

Two side platforms: Platform 1 is for the clockwise route (順行) surrounding Taiwan Island (going south at this station such as Yilan, Hualien), while Platform 2 for the counterclockwise one (逆行) (going north such as Taipei, Keelung).
Permanent settlements began in 1851, when 2,200 Han Chinese farmers led by Huang A-fong (黃阿鳳) from Taipei arrived at Fengchuan (now the area near Hualien Rear Station).
In the period of Japanese Occupation of Taiwan, the Governor-General of Taiwan encouraged Japanese to immigrate the regions of Hualien and Taitung and established a village here as “Yoshino” (吉野村).
They primarily live in the counties of Keelung, Taoyuan, and New Taipei, as well as on Hualien (formerly known as Chilai or Kiray), where their culture is centered.
He was highly regarded for helping develop Taiwan's east coast, especially the port of Hualien, and the Taroko Gorge area.
In December 1906, he was active in promoting the economic development of Taiwan’s east coast, becoming president of a joint venture company in August 1910 sponsoring immigration of Japanese settlers to Hualien County and a director of the company building Hualien Port, and the present of a company to supply electricity to the area.
The foundation was originally set up by Venerable Cheng Yen and based in Hualien, Taiwan.

Yuli Berkovich (1944 - 2012) was a scientist who has performed experiments with seed germination in zero gravity, among others, upon the International Space Station.
When Edelstein's grandfather died, Yuli began to study Hebrew and read books such as Exodus by Leon Uris, which inspired him.
