Minister of Justice Yusril Ihza Mahendra was removed for making public his demands for the President's resignation while Minister of Forestry Nurmahmudi Ismail was also removed under the suspicion of channelling his department's funds to Wahid's opposition.
When Wahid named his National Unity Cabinet, Yusril was appointed to the position of Minister of Laws and Legislations.
