Zany Brainy was a United States retail store chain owned by FAO Schwarz that sold educational toys and multi-media products aimed at children ages 4–12.
In October 2002 Five Below was founded by David Schlessinger, who also founded Encore Books and Zany Brainy, with Tom Vellios who was the former CEO of Zany Brainy.
