It tells the story of a group of Scouts from Zielonka, a small town near Warsaw, who, finding themselves unable to come to terms with the German occupation, decided to continue in secret their scouting activity.
The asteroid was discovered on September 23, 2000 by the Lincoln Near-Earth Asteroid Research team in Socorro and is named for Beverley von Zielonka, former principal of Hastings Middle School in Upper Arlington, Ohio.
Pszenny’s team, consisting of four groups, began the operation on October 8, at 0:25, when the group of Sergeant Waclaw Klosiewicz blew up rail tracks on the route from Warsaw to Malkinia (near Zielonka).
There is also an Arboretum covering 83 ha and featuring about 800 kinds of trees and shrubs.
