Wiridzayi Nguruve, who in 1982 became the first Commissioner of the Zimbabwe Republic Police, was the member in charge of Eiffel Flats Police Station as a Sub Inspector, in the mid-1970s.
He also claims that members of the police, Zimbabwe National Army, and prison officers were being "forced" to vote Zanu-PF.
