Archbishop of Tuam

At the Synod of Rathbreasail in 1111, Tuam was named as the seat of a diocese corresponding roughly with the diocese of Elphin, whilst Cong was chosen as the seat of a diocese corresponding with the later archdiocese of Tuam in west Connacht.

House of Prayer, Achill

She purchased a former convent building on Achill in 1992, and it was opened as the House of Prayer in 1993 by the then Archbishop of Tuam Joseph Cassidy.

Ó Duinnshléibhe was one of two Donegal men named Father Muiris Ulltach who attended Aodh Ruadh Ó Domhnaill (d. 1602) on his death-bed in Simancas Castle, Spain, with Archbishop of Tuam Fláithrí Ó Maol Chonaire.

Walter de Fulburn

His brother Stephen de Fulbourn (died 1288) was Walter's predecessor as Bishop of Waterford and was Archbishop of Tuam 1286-1288; their nephew Adam de Fulbourn also held several clerical and judicial offices in Ireland.
