Their first recording together, released in March 2011, was Menotti's Arioso for two cellos and strings, featured on the album The Art of Julian Lloyd Webber.
With its mock medieval melody, the parallel fifths in the bass line and the use of a horn solo, the orchestral introduction recalls a retrospective style, reminiscent of Yaroslavna’s arioso from Borodin’s opera Prince Igor or the first bars of the “bardic” slow movement from Borodin’s 2nd Symphony.
"The Last Time I Saw Jacqueline" features excerpts from two Johann Sebastian Bach ariosos, including a different section of the one quoted in The Beatles's "Hey Jude", while "Little Sparrow" is actually about Mickey Newbury's stay in Saussy's family's guest room.
