Jean du Bellay (c. 1493 – 16 February 1560) was a French cardinal and diplomat, younger brother of Guillaume du Bellay, and bishop of Bayonne in 1526, member of the privy council in 1530, and bishop of Paris in 1532.
In 1564, Charles IX of France named Guillaume Viole Bishop of Paris to replace Eustache du Bellay who resigned in 1563.
Consecrated bishop of Paris in 650, he built the first major hospital in the city, dedicating it to Saint Christopher, which is now the Hôtel-Dieu.
