In Turkey, Job is known as Eyüp, and he is supposed to have lived in Şanlıurfa.
The line "Uns liegt das Herz auf der Zunge" (Our hearts are lying at our tongues) is a changed quote from Job , "My heart is telling the sincere words".

Readings from the Old Testament are also increased, with the Books of Genesis, Proverbs and Isaiah being read through almost in their entirety at the Sixth Hour and Vespers (during Cheesefare Week, the readings at these services are taken from Joel and Zechariah, while during Holy Week they are from Exodus, Ezekiel and Job).
He also translated into Cree the Old Testament from the book of Job to the end of the lesser prophets, and most of the New Testament.
He wrote several musical shows, including an adaptation of "West Side Story" set in Shakespeare's time, an all-Black "Finian's Rainbow," and the Book of Job in swingtime (considered for development by Cordova).
Among those lost are: "The Book of Job", at which he worked for more than five years; "Disticha Catonis"; Virgil's "Bucolica"; and the "Andria" of Terence (Terenz in German).
He wrote the following commentaries: on the Pentateuch (Venice, 1567); on Canticles and Ecclesiastes, that on the latter being dedicated to King Henry II of France; on the Psalms (1586); "Mishpaṭ Ẓedeḳ," on Job (ib. 1589); on the books of Jonah, Habakkuk, and Zechariah, published with David ibn Hin's "Likkute Shoshannim" (Amsterdam, 1724).
The AVs of Isiah, Micah, Job and Malachi mentions "wild beasts" and "dragons" crying in desolate houses and palaces.

He translated a theological work by Ellendorff from German into Welsh in 1851 and four books of the Old Testament (Isaiah, Job, Psalms and Proverbs) from Hebrew into Welsh between 1853 and 1855.
Book of Job has been nominated for three awards the Harvey Award, the Wizard Fan Award, and the Eisner's Russ Manning Award.
