The coccygeal glomus (coccygeal gland or body; Luschka’s gland) is placed in front of, or immediately below, the tip of the coccyx.
Its coxae and trochanters are black; its femora is black except becoming brownish to orange on its apical 1/4, and shiny except for the mesofemur, which is sparsely gray on its apical 2/3; tibiae are orange; tarsi are orange.
The sympathetic trunks (sympathetic chain, gangliated cord) are a paired bundle of nerve fibers that run from the base of the skull to the coccyx.
