The series showcases at least three acoustic artist videos from the world of Indie rock, Independent music, Alternative rock and College rock.
Though the line-up changed several times, at one point the band comprised a kind of college rock/indie-rock/power-pop supergroup, including as it did Peter Holsapple of the dB's, Mark Walton of The Dream Syndicate, Bangle Vicki Peterson and Susan Cowsill of The Cowsills.
Matt, coming from a background of punk, noise, pop and folk, and Kevin, coming from a background of college rock, traditional folk and especially classical music (he has a Grade X Royal Conservatory diploma for piano), had many discussions about a kind of music that they could create, containing several disparate elements.
They were clearly influenced by earlier bands such as The Replacements, Buzzcocks and The Jesus and Mary Chain but incorporated better production values and more overt nods to classic rock than their college rock/punk predecessors.
