Phantasy Star Online

While creating concept art for the game, Sakai drew a dragon and showed it to Yuji Naka, the director of Sonic Team, who connected the image with the Phantasy Star series of games that had been released for the Sega Genesis.

Warren Fahy

During an extensive three-year research period for the novel, and while simultaneously maintaining lead writer positions first for Rockstar Games Red Dead Revolver and then for WowWee Robotics, Warren consulted with scientists from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) and worked with a team of concept artists: – Steven Olds, Ron Lemen, Daren Bader – and creative director and designer Michael Limber, who is also Warren's business partner.

The latter came in a silver box with the game and included a packet of 3" X 5" cards of character concept art from the game drawn by Tommy Yune, a lenticular card depicting a Veritech fighter in action, a Battlecry t-shirt vacuum packed into a disc-shaped tin with card RDF logo on top, the game's soundtrack on CD and a specially numbered Jack Archer dogtag.
