Demoscene

Simple demo-like music collections were put together on the C64 in 1985 by Charles Deenen, inspired by crack intros, using music taken from games and adding some homemade color graphics.

Linger in Shadows

The resulting menu item allows the viewer to watch an "oldskool demo" with a starfield, two DYCP scrollers (using the Amiga character set) and various other early demo effects such as blitter objects and metaballs (intentionally made to look low resolution), with chiptune music accompanying it.

Mario Bros. II

The game was developed by amateur Commodore 64 programming group Thundersoft, a sub-group of the Dutch demo group RIFFS that would meet at the Oosterhout Computer Club.

detuned (spelled simply Detuned in Japan) is a demoscene project by the German demogroup .theprodukkt (also known as Farbrausch), released exclusively on the PlayStation 3.

Do It

The original track, titled "Acidjazzed Evening", is a chiptune-style 4-channel Amiga module composed by Finnish demoscener Janne Suni.

Flimbo's Quest

The game itself was developed by Laurens van der Donk in the Netherlands who was involved in the Demoscene being in both Boys Without Brains (BWB) and Hotline.

Janne Suni

He is best known outside the demoscene for being the creator of the song "Acidjazzed Evening", the melody of which R&B producer Timbaland plagiarized in the 2006 song "Do It" by Nelly Furtado (see 2007 Timbaland plagiarism controversy).

Jean Sebastien Gerard

Jean-Sébastien Gerard, born 1970, is a musician also known as Jess from Overlanders, who composed chiptunes for the Atari ST demoscene in the 90s.
