unusual facts about dewberry

Boysenberry

The exact origins of the boysenberry are unclear but the most definite records trace the plant as it's known today back to grower Rudolph Boysen, who may have gotten the dewberry/loganberry parent from the farm of a man by the name of John Lubben (who called it a "lubbenberry"), who in turn may have gotten it from Luther Burbank.

Michelle Dewberry

In 2006, Dewberry beat off competition from over 15,000 people to become the winner of the second British series of reality TV show The Apprentice, in which candidates compete for a £100,000-a-year job working for business magnate Sir Alan Sugar.

Phyllium bioculatum

As a herbivore Phyllium bioculatum mainly eats mango, guava, cherry, dewberry, raspberry, blackberry, oak, bramble, Nephelium lappaceum (Rambutan), and in captivity some accept Quercus and Rubus species.
