Råðdjärum consists of five permanent members: Prof. Östen Dahl (linguist), Mr. Gunnar Nyström (dialectologist), Mrs. Inga-Britt Petersson (teacher), Dr. Yair Sapir (the Committee's Coordinator, linguist), Prof. Lars Steensland (linguist).
Eugen Dieth (November 18, 1893 in Neukirch an der Thur - Mai 24, 1956 in Zollikon) was a Swiss linguist, phonetician and dialectologist.
His pupil David Parry went on to apply the same principles used for the SED to Welsh English, founding the Survey of Anglo-Welsh Dialects (SAWD) at Swansea University in 1968.
Jean-Pierre Rousselot (14 October 1846, Saint-Claud - 16 December 1924, Paris) was a French priest who was an important phonetician and dialectologist.
