The club stages 6 to 8 productions (dramas, thrillers, comedies, and farces) a year, and is the only local group with its own dedicated premises on Jameson Road in Winton, Bournemouth.
La Foire de Guibray is actually a prologue to two other one act farces, Arlequin Mahomet and Le Tombeau de Nostradamus.
Most of these were marital farces in which Leon would get mixed up with a pretty girl or an involved business proposition, and face the wrath of his wife (usually Dorothy Granger); the theme tune to the series was the nursery rhyme, London Bridge Is Falling Down.
After leaving the Guildhall School, and using the stage name Lynda Berrison, she won a part in one of Brian Rix's farces at the Whitehall Theatre.
Back home, he won a part in Ivor Novello's The Dancing Years and, following stints in West End revues and farces, worked with Noël Coward in Ace of Clubs.
These include action-packed episodes with high story-arc importance ("The Way of the Warrior", "Call to Arms"), dramatic character studies ("The Wire", "Hard Time") and even comic farces ("Family Business", "Little Green Men").
