Marco then attended and graduated from the Newburgh Free Academy where he was president of the student body, an outstanding honor student, basketball player, track athlete, and was involved in numerous music and drama organizations.
He graduated from the St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School in 1980, and then signed up for a two-year nursing program at Farmingdale State College, where he was a well-regarded honor student.
Allison Beth Krause (April 23, 1951 – May 4, 1970) was an honor student at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, when she was shot and killed by the Ohio Army National Guard in the Kent State shootings, while protesting against the invasion of Cambodia and the presence of the National Guard on the Kent State campus.
